(Press Release) Hitachi America, Ltd., has added a lightweight 15" monitor to its LCD value line. The new CML152 monitor weighs only 6.6 lbs, making it one of the lightest LCD monitors available. It provides distortion-free images with superior 350:1 contrast and 250 nit brightness all designed into a slim, lightweight package. Delivering a full 15" viewing area (304 x 228 mm) the new LCD provides a 15-pin D-sub input. It also delivers 250 nit brightness and a 350:1 contrast ratio with a prime recommended resolution of 1024 x 768 at 75 or 60Hz. Pixel pitch is .297 mm. The PC & Mac compatible (some macs may require and adapter) CML152 meets the VESA FPMPMI (Flat Panel Monitor Physical Mounting Interface) standard, which enables wall-mounting with third party mounting arms. It also features a Kensington Security Port. TCO '99 approved for the CML152, and TCO '95 approved for the CML152B, these monitors comply with the world's strictest standards for low radiation, safety, ergonomics & power management. The monitor will begin shipping to Hitachi's distributors around July 1, 2002. The new LCD comes with a 3 year warranty and an MSRP of $449.00 for ivory and $459.00 for black.
