(Press Release) AMD has kicked off a 32-city Tech Tour, with an inaugural event Tuesday evening in San Francisco. Centered on the theme, "Bridge the Future with AMD64 Technology," the AMD Tech Tour 2003 provides an opportunity for system builders throughout the United States and Canada to hear the latest technical information about the full range of AMD's microprocessor products. Discussions will focus on AMD64 technology and the AMD Opteron processor for servers and workstations, as well as the upcoming AMD Athlon 64 processor for mobile and desktop computing. System builders can learn how to further differentiate their product offerings based on the performance, value and investment protection offered by AMD64 technology, which extends the industry-standard x86 instruction set architecture across 32- and 64-bit platforms. Participants can also attend breakout sessions designed to strengthen their partnerships and marketing strategies.
