OCZ Technology, supplier of high-speed memory to PC gaming maniacs, has entered the peripheral market with what it calls the best gaming mouse to date. The OCZ Equalizer, to be offered in two sizes for desktop and notebook use, offers six resolution sensitivity levels, from 400 to 2,500 dpi, and lets users switch among settings in the midst of battle with a conveniently placed button.

In addition to Back and Forward buttons and a no-slip grip, the Equalizer features a "triple threat" button that lets gamers fire three times with one click. The company says the button also works in everyday applications to turn double-click file-opening and program-launching into one-touch shortcuts. Prices for the Equalizer mice have not been announced.
