The Transcend aXeRam brand is well known for its overclocking, featuring custom aluminum heat sinks and high quality DRAM chips. The latest aXeRam DDR2-1200+ 2GB Dual-Channel Overclocking Kit joins its existing DDR2-800+ and DDR2-1066+ counterparts, and follows in the same footsteps. These will ship in a 2x1GB configuration and support 1200MHz operation at 2.2V.

These aXeRam modules include top-of-the-line Micron D9 series 64Mx8 chips, which any enthusiast knows are the best modules for extreme overclocking. Other features include support for EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles), CAS 5 timings (5-5-5-15), aluminum heat sinks with vertical fins, and a lifetime warranty. These are obviously targeted at performance users and gamers, as dual channel DDR2-1200 offers memory bandwidth of up to 19.2 GB/s, which is a significant improvement compared to the 12.8 GB/s of DDR2-800 in a similar configuration. Transcend has not yet announced pricing.
